OUR HISTORY

Consultants in Health and Nutrition, Inc. (CHNI) has been in existence for 23 years!  The consultancy group was first conceptualized in 1996 by a group of Nutritionist-Dietitians who thought of creating a Review Center for graduates of Nutrition and Dietetics to help and guide them in preparing for the yearly Nutritionist-Dietitian Licensure Examination (NDLE).  In March 1997, CHNI was duly registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with the primary purpose of promoting and assuring optimal health and nutrition through the provision of quality services by capable and competent Nutritionist-Dietitians.  With this vision, CHNI embarked in offering Nutrition Review Courses that will reinforce and enrich the knowledge and skills obtained by our Nutrition graduates.

One distinguishing mark of the CHNI Nutrition Review Center is the conduct of quality review courses every year, servicing Nutrition graduates coming from different schools offering undergraduate courses in Nutrition & Dietetics.  It has endeavored to maintain quality review classes by limiting the number of learners per class, engaging qualified lecturers composed of both academicians and practitioners in the field of nutrition and dietetics, and preparing the graduates mentally and psychologically to successfully hurdle the Board Examination.   These unceasing efforts have produced a yearly passing rate that has surpassed the NDLE’s national passing rate!

COURSE FOCUS

The Nutrition Review Course is designed to provide the nutrition graduate with confidence to pass the Licensure Examination for Nutrition and Dietetics. Through a comprehensive discussion of important theories and principles in each of the professional courses, the Review Course reinforces and enriches the skills and knowledge in nutrition and dietetics obtained in the undergraduate education.  Also, the daily quizzes and mock board examinations given during the Review are intended to make you intellectually and psychologically prepared to tackle the Board Examination.

The Review Guides in Nutrition and Dietetics has three parts: Part I is Nutritional Biochemistry and Clinical Dietetics, Part II is Community and Applied Nutrition, and Part III is a study guide to Foods and Foodservice Systems.  Each part contains a simplified explanation of the different professional core subjects using up-to-date references. A list of references used in each core subject is included for you to read further particularly on topics that remain unclear.
